Colorado Springs Ace

History

Colorado Springs "sister stores" owned and operated by brothers Nick and Kirby Kuklenski. South Academy Ace HardwareAce Hardware Uintah Gardens and Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs are three stores in a five store chain owned by the brothers.

Ace Hardware Uintah Gardens is a locally owned and operated 12,000 square foot retail hardware store. It is conveniently located in the newly renovated King Soopers Shopping Center on the corner of 19th and Uintah.
Uintah Gardens was the first store in the five store chain owned by the Kuklenski brothers. Going on their tenth year of business serving the westsiders in Colorado Springs, this hardware store has neighborhood feel written all over it.

Established in 2011, South Academy Ace Hardware became the third Ace Hardware store that the Kuklenski brothers would open in 5 years. Although smallest in stature, this 8,000 square foot retail hardware store packs quite the punch! It boasts a full paint department, propane filling station, outdoor garden center, USPS Post Office and a service counter that are all sure to get the job done! South Academy Ace is conveniently located in the King Soopers Shopping Center at the intersection of South Academy Boulevard & Hancock Expressway.

After changing hands in 2015, Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs officially became the 3rd Colorado Springs retail location for the Kuklenski's. The largest in stature at 20,000 square feet of retail hardware space, it boasts a full pet department, propane filling station, Stihl department, outdoor garden center and a full patio and grilling selection. Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs is conveniently located in the King Soopers Shopping Center at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard & Austin Bluffs Parkway.

Ace Hardware Uintah Gardens, South Academy Ace Hardware and Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs were all created to serve their respective neighborhoods, and fill a much needed hardware store void. The brothers and their teams strive to support the community by partnering with District 11 schools, Children’s Miracle Network, and other local organizations through in-store events such as “Hot Dog Days” and "Grill Your Ace Off."
Due to the outstanding performance of the Uintah Gardens location and their innovative merchandising and design of their second store, the brothers were awarded Young Retailers of the Year by the North American Retail Hardware Association in 2009. All 3 locations carry over 40,000 different items on their shelves and over 65,000 products available for special order.

At Ace Hardware Uintah Gardens, South Academy Ace Hardware, and Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs we strive to meet all our guests’ needs.
